The Windy Cove Site

Morro Bay State Park, MB, California

Introduction

This web site is for State Park Docents, and interested members of the public. The site is devoted to the preservation and beautification of Windy Cove, a place that many of us love!

The Cove is located between  the Museum of Natural History and the Inn at Morro Bay, on Lower State Park Road.  It is a crescent of mud and fine sand facing west toward boat moorings and the Sand Spit, with splendid views of the Rock.

Small "thumbnail" photos can be enlarged by simply clicking on them.  Docent-related materials for similar walks can be found at the "Docent Pages" of morro-bay.com.

This "Windy Cove" site was originally created by Curt Beebe and Mike Baird.  Thanks to Sandra Beebe for completing and maintaining these pages.  Docents are encouraged to update these pages by e-mailing corrections or improvements to the editor Sandra Beebe.
