|Trash. Storm sewers are an important source of beach trash in most communities. However, at Windy Cove trash was rare until boats began mooring to the west. Live-aboard boats are a particular problem. Many live-aboards can't move under their own power. Wastes accumulates. Unless owners are fastidious the Bay suffers. Among other things, the raw sewerage of one person is as bad for the water as the treated sewerage from 10,000 people!|
What is seen in the microscope varies with the color of the foam. Brownish foam sometimes has golden-colored, diamond-shaped diatoms.
