March 5 & 6 are the dates for the 2004 musical event at the Madonna Inn. If you've never attended a show, it's well worth the price of admission. The musical performer/models are all people you know from local organizations and politics, but you've never seem them like this...dancing, singing, strutting their stuff in the gorgeous clothes provided by the Madonna Inn's men's and women's gift shops. (My number this year is "When You're Good to Mama" from 'Chicago'. I'm not sure whether that will encourage you or discourage you from attending, but I'm hoping it will be the former!)
This event is more important than ever this year due to State budget cuts that affect the Shelter. Last year we raised over $100,000 and we want to exceed that total for 2004. This show is the Shelter's primary fundraiser each year.
The event itself will be better than ever, as it has been moved up the hill to Alex's expo hall, giving us much more room for tables and the silent auction display. By the way, if you have an item or service you would like to donate for the silent auction, please let me know. The items range from trips to Europe to car detailing, from artwork to massages, so think creatively!
Tickets for the two brunch shows on Friday and Saturday are $50 per person, dinner shows are $80 per person, about 3/4 of which is a tax deductible donation. The tables seat 8, so get a group together for great food and fun entertainment for a very worthy cause.
