Western Snowy Plovers
Note the first three photos show two different banded Western Snowy Plovers.
(A) VG:AR Left-upper Violet, Left lower Green; Right-upper Aqua,
Right-lower Red. (Banded, fledged at Oceano Dunes in 2003)
(B) VG:YR Left-upper Violet, Left lower Green; Right-upper Yellow,
Right-lower Red stripe on gray. (Male in molt; banded, fledged at Oceano Dunes in 2003).
Both of these birds were seen on Morro Strand earlier in 2004 as well.
